First of all the church was designed in the period just after the Independence, consciously adopting therefore an innovative formal vocabulary adapted to the time and the climate. In accordance with the contemporary discourse on frugality, it is pure and modest and inexpensive, conveying an essential experience and a sense of place. It materialization in concrete without glass was truly remarkable for the era. Its rural outstanding feature consists of its simultaneous inscription in and articulation of the urban landscape.
