The perception of Africa by the Western public is all too often dominated by images of a (traditional) society overwhelmed with disaster and problems. The reality is often very different . The Afrika Museum (the Netherlands) and African Architecture Matters join hands to change the perception with the competition Blueprints of Paradise: how would you suggest the Afrika Museum to present contemporary and future Africa?
An international jury will make a selection of the entries, which will become part of the main exhibition of the museum in 2011.
The opening of the competition will be announced soon! The competition is open for African architects, students, artists and thinkers with great ideas to share.
