Hilde Heynen is professor at the Department of Architecture, Urban Design and Regional Planning in Leuven and performs research and didactic tasks in architectural theory.
Hilde Heynen (°1959) studied architecture and philosophy at the K.U. Leuven. In 1988 she obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Sciences. In 1991-1992 she was a visiting assistant professor at the M.I.T. School of Architecture teaching a seminar for Master’s and PhD students. In 1993-1994 she was the beneficiary of a postdoctoral fellowship by the Getty Foundation. Currently Hilde Heynen is professor at the Department of Architecture, Urban Design and Regional Planning in Leuven and performs research and didactic tasks in architectural theory. Furthermore, she is a visiting professor at the Architectural Association London. In 2007-2008 she will be a fellow at the Radcliffe Insitute for Advanced Study, Harvard University.”
