Archinform-International Architectural Database

  German database includes over 14000 built and unrealized projects from various architects and planners. The architecture of the 20th century is the main theme.
It's possible to look for a special project via an architect, town or keyword with the indices or by using a query form. 
 
Archnet

  ArchNet is an international online community for architects, planners, urban designers, landscape architects, conservationists, and scholars, with a focus on Muslim cultures and civilisations. Very elaborate.
 
Greatbuildings   Possibility to search by building, location or architect. Few cross-links and quite limited. Last updated 2005.
 
UPSpace

  The University of Pretoria has digitized the larger part of their library. This has made a lot of interesting information available on line.
 
World Architects   The website aims to provide an overview of the top architects in the world. Only a few countries have been covered so far, but they eagerly await new applications.

  Dutch initiative to highlight what is going well in Africa. Searching is possible in defined categories. Much attention is given to art/culture, less to architecture. Was on hold for a while but is now being updated again.
 
Archi-Mag

  Archi-Mag is an online magazine on architecture from Tunis. It gives information on projects, competitions and the latest news on architecture in Tunis. The site also offers a list with some links to relevant websites.

Union Internationale des Architects

  The UIA's mission is to represent the community of architects and to promote their activities among professional organisations throughout the world. Africa is not very well represented. Up to date, however.
 
The Architect Africa Collective

  The Architect Africa Collective is a private association of architects based in Johannesburg, South Africa. News items can be found as well as links to institutes and architects in Africa. Not complete, but interesting.
 
Ghana Institute of Architects

  The website is shared by the Ghana institute of Architects and the Architects Registration Council of Ghana. It is a window to the practice and profession of architecture in the republic of Ghana.
